Wageningen has always interested me, being the centre of the Dutch Food Valley. Although I had a lot of experience in the food industry, I wanted to challenge and develop myself further by pursuing a Master degree after the hbo Food & Business and working at Picnic. At first the master was quite tough, especially as I wasn't familiar with approaching matters from an academic point of view. Luckily, the open atmosphere during classes allowed for close contact with lecturers, who provide students with plenty of feedback. Thanks to the supportive and stimulating learning and teaching environment, I feel much more comfortable in conducting my own research, something I definitely plan to use in my future career.
