Controlled Environment Agriculture

The way we grow crops is changing. Climate change, resource scarcity, labour shortages and dependence on international supply chains are increasing pressure on the production of food, flowers and plants. From tunnel greenhouses to high-tech glasshouses and vertical farms, protected and controlled cultivation systems help make production more reliable, efficient and sustainable under increasingly complex conditions. Here, you develop system-level insight, practical tools and new perspectives to help shape this transition.

Grow better across every level of cultivation
The way we grow crops is changing. From tunnel greenhouses and net houses to high-tech glasshouses and vertical farms, protected and controlled cultivation systems help create better growing conditions for crops.
By managing factors such as climate, light, water and nutrients, these systems support more reliable, efficient and sustainable crop production. This area of expertise brings together different levels of technology, all focused on one goal: helping plants grow in the best possible conditions
Technology, crops and strategy
Whether you are a grower, supplier, consultant, technology developer, researcher or investor, this programme helps you understand what truly happens inside modern cultivation systems, and how your role can influence and optimise them. You develop both technical and strategic insights, learn to connect technology with crop knowledge, and gain the confidence to make well-founded decisions in a rapidly changing sector.
