In a relaxed, festive mood, the Annual Introduction Days (AID) were held this week. Around 2250 new students immersed themselves in Wageningen student life for six days. They enjoyed a wide range of activities: a sports day and a movie night, street theatre, live music, a pub crawl and much more.

This year’s AID took place from Friday 19 to Wednesday 24 August. It was the first regular AID after the 2020 and 2021 editions, which took place (partly) online due to the COVID-19 measures. During these six cheerful days, the first-year students got to know the university, the city and their fellow students. They received information about the campus and their studies and were introduced to all the associations that are active in Wageningen. There was also plenty of room for sports, games, culture and parties.

In groups of 10, the enthusiastic AID participants experienced annually recurring activities such as the Campus Games and the sing-along. The programme also included an assault course on Friday, an outdoor cinema on Sunday and workshops and master classes on Tuesday. AID 2022 was concluded on Wednesday evening with a festival on campus.
