Biography
Born at a farm with the dual purpose MRIJ cattle breed and purebred pigs (Dutch Landrace and Large White). After an education in food technology started to work in the livestock research area. Now the focus of my work is on breeding for sustainable systems: welfare, health, reducing interventions and agro-biodiversity in combination with CGN tasks: conservation and sustainable use of genetic resources for food and agriculture.
