PhD defences May - June - July

On Tuesday 30 May Yuqi Zhang defended her PhD thesis entitled "Dynamic photosynthesis and its mechanisms in response to salt stress".

Cristina Zepeda defended her PhD thesis Thursday 1 June, with the title ''Plants as a battery'' with the subtitle ''Exploring Crop Flexibility to Buffer Envirnmental Fluctuations''.

The PhD defence of Martina Lazzarin took place Friday 2 June with the title ''The role of far-red light in plant photosynthesis and photoprotection under artificial solar irradiance''.

On Tuesday 4 July Sharath Malleshaiah defended his PhD thesis with the title ''To bloom er not to bloom'' with the subtitle ''The effect of photoperiod is spectrum dependent''.
