Organisation
Wageningen Marine Research is the Netherlands research institute established to provide the scientific support that is essential for developing policies and innovation in respect of the marine environment, fishery activities, aquaculture and the maritime sector.
Regional Centre Yerseke
At Wageningen Marine Research in Yerseke, research takes place in the fields of shellfish farming and marine ecology. Since 2016, the Regional Centre has been supported by a Convenant of among others the Province of Zeeland, the Reimerswaal municipality and the Mussel Producers' Organisation (PO Mosselcultuur).
