Introduction

Within the bioveterinary research domain, our animal housing facilities provide flexible, high-quality accommodation for a wide range of species in diverse experimental settings. Designed to advance infectious-disease research, the facilities meet strict biosafety, animal-welfare and containment standards.

What research is conducted in the animal housing facilities?

Activities

Our modular housing units allow in vivo experiments with various species and group configurations. Multipurpose pens can be tailored to specific experimental needs – from group housing to individual or mixed-group set-ups.

We host livestock such as cattle, pigs and poultry, as well as goats or calves and small animals including mice and other rodents. These facilities support infection models under the required biosafety levels and are seamlessly integrated with diagnostics, pathology and immunology laboratories, creating a complete research pipeline from in vivo work to data analysis.

Customised CRO solutions

Our multidisciplinary expertise allows us to provide tailor-made contract research (CRO) solutions. We continuously innovate to remain at the forefront of animal research. Recent developments include the integration of real-time sensor technology for animal-health monitoring, microsampling techniques and machine-learning analysis of audio-visual data.
