Equipment
The MSC offers a dozen set-ups for optical microscopy and spectroscopy. We offer basic confocal microscopes (Nikon C2, RCM) as well as advanced microscope systems (Leica SP8, Leica SP8Dive, Microtime) with features like multiphoton excitation, FLIM, FCS and optical tweezers. Also, home built / open source equipment (co-developed by MSC affiliated staff) is available for all interested users (super-resolution microscope, single molecule microscope, time-resolved fluorescence with a streak camera). The spectrometers are either unique to WUR (CD), or specified to allow a wide range of applications (fluorescence spectroscopy). Part of the equipment was purchased with the help of Shared Research Facilities (SRF).
