Specialisatie A: Environmental Policy and Economics
Deze specialisatie richt zich op de menselijke kant van duurzaamheid. Veel aandacht wordt besteed aan de rol van overheid, bedrijfsleven en maatschappij bij het werken naar een duurzame samenleving. Ook komt communicatie in relatie tot het milieu aan bod bij deze specialisatie. Hoe overtuig je mensen zich duurzamer te gedragen? En wat is duurzaam gedrag precies? Op wat voor manier zorg je dat toekomstige kosten van klimaatverandering nu worden meegenomen? En wat kun je doen om bedrijven duurzamer te laten produceren?

Specialisatie B: Environmental Quality and Systems Analysis
De specialisatie Environmental Quality and Systems Analysis richt zich op de processen die zich afspelen in en tussen de compartimenten bodem, water en atmosfeer. Hierbij wordt onder andere gekeken wat de effect van menselijke is op organismes en ecosystemen maar ook bijvoorbeeld wat de impact is van een product over de hele levenscyclus. Je kijkt dus naar het complete plaatje. Dit leer je te analyseren en systematisch aan te pakken.

Specialisatie C: Environmental Technology
De specialisatie Environmental Technology is het meest bèta en richt zich op het toepassen van biologische, scheikundige en natuurkundige processen in technieken die er op gericht zijn om de milieukwaliteit te verbeteren, het voorkomen van emissies en het hergebruiken van grondstoffen.
