Wageningen School of Social Sciences (WASS)

Wageningen School of Social Sciences explores the interaction between institutions, practices and social change, often in relation to the biophysical world, including natural resources, technologies and artefacts. Our researchers draw on diverse theoretical perspectives from a variety of scientific disciplines and share a common interest in the core domains of Wageningen University: biodiversity, resilience, circular societies, climate, global health, food systems, and land and water use. Many projects involve close cooperation with societal partners and stakeholders.
