Wageningen University & Research provides accredited ATP and GDP tests to ensure transport equipment meets strict temperature-control and sustainability requirements.
Over ATP & GDP Qualification tests
Cold-chain operators are increasingly focusing on improving the sustainability, energy efficiency and reliability of temperature-controlled transport. To ensure safe distribution of food, pharmaceuticals and active ingredients, transport equipment must meet strict European standards.
Food & Biobased Research offers a broad range of ATP and GDP qualification tests, performed in a unique conditioned test facility designed for all types of refrigerated transport systems. As one of the few ISO17025-accredited ATP testing laboratories in the EU, Wageningen can carry out K-value tests, refrigeration capacity tests (single and multi-compartment) and pull-down tests.
For the pharmaceutical sector, Wageningen conducts GDP qualification tests to verify that equipment can maintain the required temperature range—especially the critical 2–8 °C chilled range—under realistic operating conditions, including summer/winter climates, power failure scenarios and door-opening situations.
Customers receive a detailed test report that can be used to apply for ATP certification at any qualified EU institution.
