About the energy scan
Cold stores are major energy users, while the most effective savings measures are not always obvious. WUR’s energy scan helps operators of cold storage facilities understand where energy is used and identify practical opportunities to reduce consumption and costs.
During a company visit, our researcher assesses the refrigeration technology and discusses potential improvements with you. Depending on your facility, the scan can cover insulation of walls, floors and ceilings; refrigerant distribution within the cooling system; system settings; and monitoring of energy consumption.
You receive the findings and recommendations in a clear PowerPoint presentation. The scan gives you a practical basis for deciding which improvements are relevant to your facility.
