Dietary assessment

We aim to develop new methodologies and tools (including artificial intelligence) that allow the assessment of dietary intake and dietary behaviour. State of the art assessment of dietary exposure is crucial to the research lines and nutritional sciences in general.

Focus

  • Development of databases for food composition, cost of diet, and environmental footprint
  • Standardisation of assessment methods for habitual intake and nutritional adequacy
  • Development and validation of innovative indicators and assessment tools of food intake

Tools

Do you want to  estimate the intake of a specific food group, food product, energy or nutrient? Or do you want to assess a complete dietary pattern? The division of Human Nutrition and Health of WUR has developed several tools to help you with this.

Before you fill in a request form to use our tools, we encourage you to read:

  • The background information on our tools (see fold out below)
  • The checklist for choosing the optimal method (see fold out below)
  • The conditions for using our tools (PDF, in Dutch)
