Eetscore is a validated, web-based screener that assesses adherence to the Dutch Food-Based Dietary Guidelines and optionally provides personalised dietary advice.
Assessing diet quality is essential in nutrition research and clinical practice. Eetscore is a self-administered, web-based tool developed for the Dutch adult population. It evaluates adherence to the 2015 Dutch Food-Based Dietary Guidelines using a short Food Frequency Questionnaire (40 questions).
The tool calculates scores for 16 guideline components, each ranging from 0–10 points, resulting in a total score between 0 and 160. In addition to scoring, an optional module provides personalised dietary advice based on individual results, offering concrete suggestions for improvement.
Eetscore includes automated scoring and advice generation within the platform. Researchers can invite participants directly and export results in .xlsx format for further statistical analysis. Please note: Eetscore measures diet quality and guideline adherence, but does not assess energy or nutrient intake.
