Wageningen Livestock Research contributes to sustainable livestock farming by developing knowledge and innovations in the field of greenhouse gas emissions, nitrogen, particulate matter and odour from livestock farms. In addition, our experts study solutions for manure processing and manure valorisation.
What can we do for you?
Our 40 researchers, project managers, measurement technicians and analysts work in interdisciplinary teams to measure environmental impacts in animal husbandry and to understand the underlying processes. Our expertise includes:
- Measuring emissions, we have an air quality and chemical laboratory at our disposal
- Developing cost-effective innovations and socially desired improvements for reduced emissions from barns and a better barn climate
- Finding solutions to make better use of manure and minerals
