Plant Developmental Biology

The cluster of plant developmental biology (PDB) focusses on the growth and development of plants in relation to their environment.

Developmental programs define the form and resulting functions of plant organs throughout plant life. Because plants are sessile, they must constantly adjust their architecture in response to changing environmental conditions both above and below ground. We study the molecular and cellular processes that regulate plant development especially in relation to their dynamic environment.
