Workshops and demos

Training

As a WUR student, you can join free workshops on finding literature for your studies, citing and referencing and working with EndNote. You can also do a Modular Skill Course on Finding and using literature for your MSc thesis.

Personal advice

Personal advice

Looking for personal support with your thesis or essay? You can contact an information specialist from WUR Library for expert help with searching and referencing sources. Think about topics such as systematic searching, building a good search query, selecting the right bibliographic database, organising your literature, citing your sources, and understanding copyright issues. Depending on your question, you'll receive extra information by email, or we'll schedule an appointment with you.

E-learning modules information literacy

E-learning

The Library's e-learning modules help you learn how to find reliable information, think critically about your sources, and correctly cite and reference them in your work. You can complete each e-learning module separately and at your own pace. Each e-learning module contains assignments with clear explanations, so you can practice and directly apply the skills while learning.

Information literacy in your study programme

Study programme

The Library teaches information literacy in all bachelor's and in many master's programmes. Not sure which course included your information literacy training? We've compiled a list by study programme. The corresponding course materials are available on the Brightspace page of that course.

Support from the Writing Lab

Writing Lab

WUR students can get free help from a writing coach at the Wageningen Writing Lab. You're welcome with any type of academic writing, from a first-year paper to a master's thesis. Whether you've already written a draft or are just getting started, the coaching session can help you with outlining, structuring your text, or overcoming writer's block.
