You can use a group study room for collaboration, or settle into a comfortable focus pod for concentrated work. At the Library, you'll find:
- 615 individual study places
- 4 group study rooms
- several desktop computers for guests
- focus pods for more concentration and comfort
- daily national and international newspapers and magazines
- books, atlases and journals on life, environmental and natural sciences
- a lounge corner with bean bags and a chess table
- copiers on every floor and
- lockers (hallway 2nd floor)

Wageningen University and Research offers FollowMe printing. This means you can send documents to any printer on campus. The documents are held in a secure print server until you arrive at the printer of your choice, present your WURcard and release the documents. You can print from any device or any off-campus location. The print jobs that you don't pick up will be deleted after 24 hours.
KUARIOPrint
Before you can print, WUR students need to have a KUARIO account. Use your WUR email address and password to set this up. With the KUARIO app, you can upload credit to your WURcard and pay for your prints. Please note that printing facilities are available only for WUR students and staff. Contact the Servicedesk Facilities if you have problems with KUARIO or printing.

Multifunctional printers
Multifunctional printers are available in front of the Library entrance and in the hallways on every floor. You can print or photocopy in black and white or colour, in A4 or A3 size. When you hold your WUR card up to the card reader of the MFP, all your print jobs are displayed. You can choose to print them all or partly.

A4: 0.04 (one-sided), 0.07 (double-sided)
A3: 0.08 (one-sided), 0.15 (double-sided)
Color printing
A4: 0.17 (one-sided), 0.29 (double-sided)
A3: 0.22 (one-sided), 0.42 (double-sided)

You’ll find the lending desk just inside the Library entrance on the second floor of the Forum building. Our librarians are happy to help you search for literature, find books, borrow items, or request materials from the stacks. You can also purchase various office supplies here, such as plastic binding covers, headphones, earplugs, notebooks, and pens.
At WUR, using your own laptop (Bring Your Own Device, BYOD) is the standard for both education and self-study in the Library. To support ergonomic working, external monitors are available that you can connect to your laptop. Please remember to bring your own adapter or cable.
In addition, the Forum Library provides several desktop computers for students on the second floor. Guest computers with internet access are also available on the same floor.
With eduroam, students, researchers and employees have easy and secure access to the wireless network of WUR as well as to the network of other institutions that offer eduroam. You only need your WUR-login details (WUR e-mail address and current password)
With an eduroam connection you can access the digital library's resources. Please, read these instructions to use WUR wifi and connect your own device to eduroam
With eduroam Visitor Access (EVA), visitors can get temporary access to the wireless network of Wageningen University & Research. At the lending desk, guests without a WUR account can request a Wi-Fi code for one day. Just so you know, some databases, even on campus, are not available to guests.
At the Library's reading table, you'll find a selection of leading national and international newspapers and magazines. Dutch newspapers include De Volkskrant, NRC, De Gelderlander, Trouw, and Het Financieele Dagblad. International titles such as The Financial Times are also available. Among the magazines, you can read Elsevier Weekblad and De Groene Amsterdammer.
Individual study places
The Library offers 615 individual study places. The study places on the 4th floor need to be reserved in TimeEdit. During self-study and exam weeks, you also need to book the study places on the 3rd floor. The study places on the 2nd floor are all walk-in places and therefore not bookable. There are 2 focus pods if you need extra concentration. Study places are NOT suitable for online exams since they are located in rooms with multiple seats.

Group study rooms
- There are four group study rooms for collaboration.
- The group study rooms are on a first-come, first-served basis. No reservation possible.
- In regular weeks, the group study rooms are intended for groups. Please note that groups have priority over individuals.
- In study and (re)exam weeks, the rooms are for individual study only.
- Food, snacks and fruit are not allowed in the Forum Library, including the group study rooms. You can bring drinks.
You can find the recommended course books that are only available in print at the Study Collection on the 3rd floor at the Library. Items in the Study Collection are not for loan. You can read the books in the Library or make a copy, or scan. More information on Finding recommended literature for your courses.
You're welcome to check-out books at the self-service computer near the Library entrance. Just scan your WURcard and place the book on the desk in front of the monitor. You can print an overview of your current loans. To return books, simply select 'Return' on the screen and put your books on the desk.
In Forum Library everyone is welcome, whether you work at a campus company or are part of the wider community. Guests can use the guest PCs on the 2nd floor, read the printed newspapers, journals, and books, and access the physical collections free of charge. Borrowing is also free with an eduID account. Digital resources are available on campus only. Some databases, even on campus, are not available for guests. Forum building
During office hours, the building is open to the public; after office hours, you can only access the building with a WURcard.
Parking
At the car park to the right of the Forum building's main entrance, there are two parking spaces for people with disabilities.
Assistance dogs
Assistance dogs accompanied by their handlers are allowed in the Library. Other animals are not allowed.
Access and elevators
A wheelchair-accessible ramp provides entry to the Forum building, and an elevator is available to reach the Library entrance on the second floor. Inside the Library, please ask the librarian at the lending desk for access to the Library's elevator, which can take you to the other floors.
We all share the responsibility of keeping the Library a comfortable place to study. Absolute silence isn’t required; quiet conversation is fine, as long as you’re considerate of others. Drinks in spill-proof containers are allowed, but food, snacks, and fruit are not. Please keep your study area tidy, and if you take a break, make sure to take your laptop and valuables with you. The Library cannot be held responsible for lost or stolen belongings. Have a look at our house rules for a complete overview.
Where people work, mistakes may occasionally occur. We value openness and continuous improvement, and therefore welcome your feedback, both positive and negative. If something bothers you, please let us know at the lending desk, issues are much easier to resolve right away. Our regular opening hours are:
- Monday - Thursday: 8 am - 10 pm
- Friday: 8 am - 6 pm
- Saturday - Sunday: 10 am - 6 pm
Keep in mind that after 6 pm and on weekends, you’ll need a WUR card to enter the Forum building.
In the summer and end-of-year periods, Forum is closed on weekends.
