Nature Inclusive Sustainability and Environmental Law (NISEL)
Analysis of law-systemic failures in environmental legislation to give nature-inclusivity and sustainability a proper place as to law. Currently domestic and European environmental law is fragmented and sectorized with many law-systemic failures in terms of balancing regulating and supporting ecosystem services. Ecosystem services and SDGs are often not even mentioned in legislative texts.
Research question: how could a future, more holistic sustainability law redress nature inclusive and biodiversity demands? Law-economic trade-offs of alternative law systems are also being analysed.
